Le Petit Salon: Languages Beneath the Heavens with Poesie Perdue
In French culture, 'The Salon' was a private social gathering where a mixture of guests openly discussed art, literature, philosophy, music, and politics. The salon guests came from varied backgrounds, and so salons were an opportunity to hear different views from varied levels of society. They were also an opportunity to encounter new ideas, sometimes radical ones, in various fields, thus contributing to the spread of Enlightenment thought.
As we step into the first breath of spring, there is a stirring in the air for richer, more earnest connection. A longing to frequent rooms and places where your inspirations can be expressed, philosophized, and expounded upon. A place to gather and explore new ideas or delve deeper into old ones. A place to commune with fellow humans, enjoy food and drink, and relish in the beauty of life...
So, it is surrounded by dancing candlelight and the romantic perfumery of heavy-petaled roses that I introduce you to Hayley Fionna--artist, poet, and creator of Poésie Perdue--the featured artist of my first styled event of 2026.
This is a black-tie evening event is for lovers of romance, yearning, language, and love letters. For the ones who desire passion and depth under moonlight and candlelight. It is for the art collectors. The cocktail and charcuterie lovers. And the late-night, meaning-of-life conversation type crowd.
During this two-hour salon, we will converse about the history of poetry, the power of language to change and inspire us, and how, regardless of language barrier, human souls find ways to connect. Guests will not only be invited but encouraged to participate, share insights, and connect with both the hosts and other salon attendees. After the salon discussion is presented, the event will be opened for mingling, hors d'oeuvres, and drinks. And at the close of the night, each guest will receive their own personal copy of a hand-bound, Italian deckled paper poetry book curated and illustrated by Hayley exclusively for the event.
The dress code is STRICTLY black tie. This is an elevated evening event and we want each attendee to dress to the occasion so that beauty and inspiration may flow unhindered. So that extra fancy outfit you've had saved for a dream occasion? It is time. Wear the jewels, drape yourself in the finest of silks and satin. Men, bring your finest suit and a flower for the beautiful lady on your arm. This is the PERFECT spring date.

TICKET INCLUDES: Hors d'oeuvres, Desserts, Mocktail/Cocktail Bar, and each guest will receive a personal copy of the ‘Langues sous les Cieux’ Poetry Book to take home
